Meet Lola
This beautiful young German Shepherd’s early life was heartbreaking. A kind neighbor found her tied to a pole in the backyard day after day, used as nothing more than a plaything for children and given no real love or attention.
Now safe with us, Lola is terrified and struggling to trust—her world has always been one of isolation. But we know there’s a brave, loving girl underneath the fear. With your support, we can send Lola to professional training to help her work through her abandonment fears and give her the tools she needs to blossom into the happy, confident dog she’s meant to be.
Ways you can help:
Donate towards her training
Share her story to reach more hearts
Consider fostering or adopting when she’s ready
Together, we can show Lola that love is forever.

Yoda Update!! (7/24/25)
So this little girl has completely stolen my whole heart She is the sweetest thing of all time, and just such a good girl. What a fighter! She is so tough, yet such a sweet baby girl… words can’t express the love I have for this dog. She deserves the whole world and we are determined to give it to her!!
Yoda officially got downgraded from her big bulky cast yesterday, to just her fixator apparatus by Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center! She is healing up nicely and right on track. Our mission now is to keep the healing going, give her plenty of LOVE and REST and get her back on four legs and running around again as soon as possible!! The Fixator is basically 5 pins holding the displaced bones into place while they heal. The tricky part has been finding a way to keep her on bed rest, while anticipating any isssues that may arise and mitigating them. Such as catching the rod on her crate - so we got her a canvas crate - and boy is it a game changer! First of all - NOTHING for her to catch or snag that bad boy on. Second of all - she LOVES IT and must feel safe in it because she is constantly trying to go back in and lay down, where before she did not enjoy going into her crate for the night.
That said, she has a long road ahead of her. Weekly check ups with DVSC that run 200-300 per visit, multiple x-ray appointments coming up (200 each visit) and lots of specialized care. I am cleaning her pin sights twice daily and applying antibacterial cream to prevent infection, antibiotics, pain meds and anti inflamatories - for 11 more weeks. We are determined to continue to provide her the best care possible, but need your support to continue to do so. We are humbly asking that those who can, donate or share her story, so we can continue to give her the best care that she deserves! You can donate using the link below, or directly to her account at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center by calling and asking to donate for “Yoda Crawford”.

Yoda was running for her life.
This sweet girl was rescued after someone shot at her—yes, shot at a defenseless dog. In her desperate attempt to escape, Yoda fell and broke her front leg. She was terrified, injured, and alone… until she found safety with us.
Yoda was seen by the amazing team at CityVet - Preston Hollow on 7/2/25, and we’re so grateful to Dr. Dunn and his staff for the incredible care and constant updates they provided while treating our brave little girl.
Our sweet boy Benny is doing incredible!! After being shot four times and left for dead in a mud puddle, he is currently being rehabilitated with the incredible team at East Lake Veterinary Hospital, thanks to an AMAZING sponsor and close friend of mine Barbara Barton Weiszhaar - where he is receiving hydrotherapy twice daily, laser therapy and physical therapy! He is slowly gaining mobility back and we feel he has really great odds of being able to walk again! That said, he has a long road to recovery ahead of him, and a lot more therapy required. While we’ve gotten his first month of rehabilitation covered, we desperately need help to raise money for his continued treatment!
Please help us get this boy back in fighting shape, walking again, and ready to find his forever home! He’s been through the trenches, literally, and has the fight to not only live but to flourish and put this awful tradgedy behind him!!
Check out the videos if his last hydrotherapyerapy session and see him in action! Videos in the comments!
