Meet Max!

This sweet boy is just 1.5 years old and has a heart full of love. Max is wonderful with other dogs and absolutely adores people. He walks nicely on a leash, loves chewing on his toys, and is crate trained. Whether you’re looking for an adventure buddy or a cuddle companion, Max is ready to be by your side.

Sadly, Max is now our longest resident, through absolutely no fault of his own. He’s watched so many other dogs find their families while he continues to wait for someone to see just how special he is.

Max has bilateral hip issues and will need double FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) surgery to give him the comfortable, pain-free future he deserves. The good news is that Stray to Play Rescue will cover the full cost of his surgeries, so his adopter or foster won’t have to worry about that expense. We just need someone willing to give him the love and safe place he deserves while he heals.

Max has never let his hips define him. He’s still the same happy, affectionate, toy-loving boy who just wants to be with his people. We know his perfect family is out there—we just need them to find him.
