Meet Diesel!
It’s hard to believe this happy, thriving boy is the same dog who was once tied to a car and abandoned at a homeless encampment. But Diesel didn’t let that define him—he chose love, and he hasn’t looked back since.
Diesel just turned one year old, and he is truly the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. He loves people—like, full-body wiggle, happiest-to-see-you-ever kind of love. He also adores other dogs and would be thrilled to have a playful companion in his forever home.
We’ve been working with Diesel on training, and he is absolutely flourishing. He walks beautifully on a leash right by your side, sits automatically and looks up at you for direction when you stop, and already knows commands like sit and down. He’s also crate trained and potty trained—basically, he’s the total package.
Diesel is still a young pup, so he does have that fun, playful energy—but what makes him special is that he also knows when it’s time to settle down. Whether it’s playtime in the yard or curling up next to you for a snuggle, Diesel is just happy to be by your side.
He loves playing with other dogs and is very dog-friendly, though his enthusiasm for games like “chase me!” can sometimes be a little much for more laid-back, older pups. He just needs a buddy (or a human!) who appreciates his joyful spirit.
Diesel has come so far from where he started, and now all he’s missing is a family to call his own. Whoever gets him is getting a loyal, loving, and incredibly special dog.
