Meet Theo!
Theo is a 3.5-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix who has spent almost an entire year waiting for someone to choose him.
Found roaming the streets as a stray, Theo was brought to Mesquite Animal Services where he patiently waited day after day, month after month, hoping his family would come. They never did. Nearly a full year later, the shelter reached out and asked if we could help. The answer was easy—how could anyone say no to that face?
The moment we met Theo, we were completely smitten.
This handsome boy is everything you could want in a companion: sweet, goofy, curious, and full of personality. When Theo arrived at his foster home, he immediately got to work investigating every inch of the yard. Every leaf, every tree, every blade of grass deserved a thorough inspection! He happily bounced around exploring his new surroundings with the biggest smile on his face, reminding us just how much joy dogs find in the simple things.
Theo gets along wonderfully with other dogs. While he doesn’t necessarily care about roughhousing or playing chase, he enjoys their company and is happy to have canine friends around. After all, why spend your time playing when there are so many fascinating smells waiting to be discovered?
Theo is crate trained, potty trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. He loves car rides, outdoor adventures, and being included in whatever his people are doing. Whether it’s a hike, a road trip, a stroll through the neighborhood, or simply exploring the backyard together, Theo is always ready to be your sidekick.
After spending nearly a year in a shelter kennel, Theo deserves so much more than waiting. He deserves a couch to nap on, a family to love, and a place to finally call home.
