Meet Runner!

Runner’s world changed unexpectedly, but we promised him that the next chapter of his story would be a beautiful one.

Runner is a 4-year-old Lab mix weighing in at 67 lbs of pure love, loyalty, and happiness. He spent his entire life with his dad, who had raised and loved him since he was just a puppy. Sadly, Runner’s dad was diagnosed with advanced cancer and began rapidly declining. Knowing he could no longer provide the care Runner deserved, he made the heartbreaking decision to do what was best for his boy and reached out for help.

We took Runner in and made a promise to his dad: that we would find Runner the incredible forever home he deserves. Now we need your help keeping that promise.

Runner is truly the total package. He is potty trained, crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He absolutely loves to run and play with his foster siblings, chase after a ball, and enjoy all the fun life has to offer. But he also knows exactly when playtime is over and it’s time to settle in for cuddles and snuggles.

He’s the kind of dog that quickly becomes your best friend — always happy to be by your side, always ready with love to give, and always grateful for the people around him.

Runner has already experienced a lot of change in his life, and now all he needs is a family to call his own again. Help us fulfill the promise we made and give this sweet boy the forever home he’s been waiting for.
